Marketing is too important to be left only to the marketing department” –David Packard mktg pg3. It’s not only for making product at the stores or arranging displays it’s more than. Marketing really is a philosophy and a process for creating and exchanges. “Marketing can occur even if an exchange does not occur.” mktg pg4. Really what the quote was saying that you can marketing an object with not having a party. “A market-oriented firm defines its business in terms of the benefits its customers seek.” Mktg pg8. It’s more than what the customers want and needs. It’s more like keep focusing on the customers and avoids becoming preoccupied. “People don’t know what they want-they only want what they know.’ Mktg pg10. This quote saying that people only buy what they know; don’t buy what they want. “About half of every dollar you spend pays for marketing costs.” Mktg pg12. This is true because what ever you buy you paying for that product and the marketing. When you go to the stores and you see ad of a product that you like. That’s what you paying for are that ad “a good strategic plan can help protect and grow the firm’s resources.” Mkgt pg15. All big companies should have a strategic plan for there company; it would show you how to run long term with the company and profitability. “While other retail stores compete for rock bottom pricing, Abt Electronics’ strategy is to outclass and out service them. With lavish displays, walled-off spaces, and custom light, Abt attracts image-conscious brands.” Mkgt pg20. Abt electronics bring good customers services with good product. When customers buy something they don’t like they got played and they got there money worth. “If business people do have a social responsibility other than making maximum profits for shareholders, how are they to know what it is?” mkgt pg29. Its program in there company to let them know to focus on the world problems and viewing them as opportunities to build profit for the company. “No one business is large or powerful enough to create major change in the external environment”. Mkgt pg33. There no way that a company can be bigger than external environment to make a change in the environment.
Petroleum is not the only natural resource that affects international marketing” mkgt pg55. This quote is saying that gas not the only natural resource that affects the world like metals and lack of food and water. “Countertrade is a form of barter’’. Mkgt pg 60. Yeah this true because you are swapping goods for goods. “Consumers product and service preferences are constantly changing.” Mkgt pg63. Because the consumers behavior always changing from time to time. “A typical consumer is exposed to more than 2500 advertising message a day but notices only between 11 and 20.” Mkgt pg77. This true because they exposed us more than 2500 a day, but we noticed the ones we want to see. “The key characteristic distinguishing business products from consumer product is intended use, not physical form.” Mkgt pg83 this really was saying that if a product is purchased for a personal consumption is a consumer good.

EOC WEEK 10

Moda3 is my favorite store. Because when I walk in the door the first time, the sales person came to me ask me do I need help. I was like wow this store is great. I was looking around in the store I noticed everybody dress like me and got the same hobby.
I found a couple thing I like in the store. When I went to the cashier they ask me for my email so they email me new product. So now everything time I go in the store I get a discount and I get the first bid on the new product, and gave me free stickers and a free t shirt and they know me by my first name. Now, whenever I come in the store I get a discount on anything I want. The one I dislike that I got a parking ticket outside the store. Pretty much it’s a pretty good store to shop at and have a lot of great deals. That’s why I’m loyalty to this store only.

The biggest challenge in marketing. I think the biggest challenge I would have in marketing is coming up with a marketing plan. I would have to come up with the market & environment, fixing marketing target, setting marketing strategy, marketing mix, and the marketing controlling.

WEEK 6 EOC: GROUP PROJECT

DJMC Productions
Chistopher Robinson, Melvin Alvaradl, Dontre Waggoner and Jessi Harker.
We began by brainstorming different ideas and products that we already like. At first, we thought of improving video games, shoes, skateboards, music, or movies. Our first idea was the all purpose retractable sneaker. The sole would slide off and on with different inserts making it capable of going from casual to the club, but after close evaluation we determined that if people were to buy this shoe why wouldn’t they just change shoes before they went out? Our brainstorming went through a dry spell ending up aiming towards fashionable designer sunglass’ with quality lenses when Christopher came up with the micro chip credit card. Our first plan was to embed a chip in people’s wrist to prevent identity and credit card theft; however that didn’t sound to appealing. That’s when we came up with the Finger Scanner.
The Alpha Omega 9000 Finger Scanner will be sold to Banks, credit card companies, Corporations and hospitals to further prevent identity and/or credit cars theft. It’s a little machine that scans your finger print. No more signatures and key codes The Alpha Omega 9000 scans your finger print to ensure you are the only one accessing your valuable personal information.
A Fast, Safe, Secure way to protect your identity!

Eoc week 5

Eoc week 5
What my class thinks about advertizing vs. marketing
The quote “Marketing can occur even if an exchange does not occur” (Mktg Lamp page 4) http://waggonerinc.blogspot.com/. I agree with this because you don’t need to exchange something to marketing something.
http://kmiliniumproduction.blogspot.com/ Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large. I agree this because marketing is everywhere you go in life. When everyone turn the TV on its marketing.
"Marketing is a process that focuses on delivering value and benefits to customers"(MKTG, McDaniel, Pg. 3) http://minnie-livingbydesign.blogspot.com/. I agree with this also. Marketing is all about the customer’s wants and needs. If the companies don’t have what customers wants and needs. The company want do good.

week 4 EOC what's the different between marketing and advertising

See a lot people think that marketing and advertising is the same, but really it’s not. Marketing is a philosophy, an attitude, and a perspective. That is a plan that brings buyers and seller together to figuring out the needs and wants, and making products that correlate with consumer desires. “Marketing can occur even if an exchange does not occur” pg4 MKTG Advertising is any form of impersonal paid communication announcement of a persuasive message by an identified sponsor. The different between marketing and advertising is marketing to bring merchants and consumers together and Advertising is to get the people to buy the product.

EOC week2: Me as the consumer

How my life is as a young Africa American. My life is pretty much crazy at sometimes. It’s not hard to be me. A lot of people think that young Africa American will die before they turn 21. I don’t play attention to that anymore. I just lived my life and have fun. The things I like to spend my money are clothes and skateboards and tattoos. When I first start off buying my own clothes; I use to buy name brand clothes that cost a lot of money. Now, when I look back how much I use to spend it was too much.

I use to spend like 1200 on clothes for no reason. So, when I go shopping now I look for discount and good quality clothes. The other thing I use to spend a lot of money was tattoos. I use to go to the tattoo shop every two weeks. I was going crazy for tattoos, cover my back, chest, ribs, and both arms and hands. The bad thing about this is it’s hard for me to get a job. The last thing I spend money on is my skateboard. I just pick this hobby up last year, I spend over a 1000 already just on decks, and wheels. Now, when i look back at all the money spend i could did alot of different things with that money or i could help people out that needed help.

WEEK ONE EOC QUALITY CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

The best customer’s experience I had was at my favorite store call moda3. I first heard about this store online when I was looking for a skateboard. So, I decide to go one day. The next day I went down to moda3. When I walk in the door the sales person came to me ask me do I need help. I told him yes I do. I told him I wanted a skateboard with everything. He helps me out pick good quality wheels and trucks.
When I was waiting for him to put my skateboard together, I was walking around the store look that the clothes they sell. Ten minutes past he came out the back with my board all finish; he told me thanks for the long wait and gave me some free stickers and a free t shirt. Now, whenever I come in the store I get a discount anything I want. The one I dislike that was I got a parking ticket outside their store. Pretty much it’s a pretty good store to shop at and have a lot of great deals.
